We have just welcomed the New Year of 2009 and the MMIGLOBAL 2008 finalists have had their New Year celebration with families. Sixteen days into 2009, the finalists met up for a dinner at the Chilli’s, Bangsar Shopping Complex.

Almost all the finalist was present, marking the biggest number present for an unofficial event (event organized by finalist & off the record from MMIG organizing committee..:)) Well, everyone gathered at Chilli’s about 8pm, and were chatting about what each had been up to lately. Many of the finalists have been receiving calls for commercial castings, while others back to studies & work.

Our winner of Miss Malaysia Indian Global, Fiona joined us after attending a casting. She is still busy with Starbucks. Seenu and Keshreena busy with studies. Sowmya, our first runner-up is on semester break at the moment and putting her mind to work on her upcoming project. Ravinpreet is working at a private medical centre while Sangeetha will be off to pursue her degree at an overseas university soon. Our working ladies - Roshan, Rashpall and Shazlina are very busy with their work and happy to unwind with us. On the other hand, our Miss Petite, Kamini is balancing her studies & work life with great accomplishment. Laila has just joined a new organization to share her expertise with them. Kavitha, our Voize reader’s choice is also having semester break & working part-time while GC has put her foot into the oil & gas industry. Gayathri could not make it as she was having final exams while the other two finalist, Shantini & Sharlene had law class.

Mrs Rani, our Principal Organizer dropped in on us. Everyone was happy to have her and chatted away intensely until we forgot the time. Time is something we cannot bargain with, so we bade ‘goodbye for now’ with warm hugs and headed our separate ways. Until the next time, let’s stay in touch!
