The principal organisor and conceptualiser of  the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global pageant and its social development philosophy is Pushparani Thilaganathan, a spirited journalist. The joint organisor is the Miss MalaysiaIndia Care Association (MMICA).

MMICA is a  not-for-profit organisation established in Year 2002 by its founding pillars Mohanapriya Sina Raja, Divya Nambiar and Bawani Nesamani (winners of the Miss MalaysiaIndia 2001 pageant). It  is registered with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development as well as the National Council of Women Organisation.

MMICA members comprise finalists/winners of all the past  Miss MalaysiaIndian (Global) pageants, who return each year to serve their peers in the community. Some among them form the working committee for the annual Miss MalaysiaIndian Global pageant.

MMICA is a non-partisan organisation and is committed  to the development of all Malaysian women and youth. Hence its  grassroot "direct-benefit" programmes transcends racial, political and cultural barriers.

MMICA's primary mission is to "Empower Communities Thru' Culture, Communication, Education and Sports."

To this end, it has developed three core programmes:
Gift Mum With Life (a cancer awareness and screening programme for women between 20-40 years)
GET REAL: Let's Chat HIV/AIDS ( a college and university-level programme discussing lifestyles, teen pregnancies and HIV/AIDS)
Sisters-In-Education (a  mentoring programme targeting girls from 5 - 35 years. The programme identifies fellowships, scholarships and internship programmes for the professional development of young women)

MMICA has twice been nominated for the NST/PWC Team Humanitarian Award for its efforts in promoting awareness of cancer among women.
