Food shortage is major around the world. Fears of insufficiency has forced both governments and citizens to review their stockpiles, and basic needs. The CEA’s theme this year is FOOD - Scarcity & Our Excesses! The 3N/4D programme was divided into workshops and field trips. Finalists were exposed to hard economic, social & political facts governing the global food chain and invited to review their own daily perspective.

This aside, it was a wet, wet CEA program, At one point the river next to our dorms burst its banks and the whole area including the canteen and the TNB powerstation was under two feet water!!!! We were trudging in slush and were without “light” till late night. The boat rides and trek thru’ the Kilim Mangroves, Bat Caves and Gunung Mat Chincang was insightful. Many thanks to our guides Vijay and Halim.
