FUND RAISING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

“No skill is more crucial to future of the a child,
Or to a democratic and prosperous society than literacy”

22 women; 200 street children; 1 slum school

Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2018 is raising funds for a community engagement project in Delhi, India.

This is part of our global collaborations through the Asia Pacific University Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) which is an international body. Our current partnership projects include Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

This campaign’s project is centred among the urban slums in Ghaziabad, India. There are nearly 8000 people living in 10 big slums here. Our campaign targets a slum colony with 100 families and 200 malnourished children aged 4-14years living in absolute squalor.

We are raising funds in partnership with LAKSHYAM, an NGO in India  to help build a fully operational MUD SCHOOL (school walls built with earth bags) with a dry toilet.
